How it can be:

some times, utter darkness;

some times, the sun 

lighting things and casting shadows;

sometimes the moon

glowing things in dark glow;

some times, lightning lighting

up things, and blackening shadows;

some times, lightning struck

so bright no thing can be seen;

some times a pair of eyes

    Just read in a little book by National Geographic that lightening bolts strike the earth more than 3 million times a day and that the air around them is heated to at least 18,000 degrees F. And then there are those butterfly wings.
