It may seem that your experience is a continuous movement from past to present to future, but it is in fact a series of discontinuities of attention, sensation, feeling, perception, motivation, intention and awareness – and of the interplay among these fluxing processes.

The gaps in experience are filled in by the structure of thought that posits a continuous ‘I’ that seems to move through experience. The gaps are filled in much like the brain fills in the blind spot that each of us has in our field of vision.

But if you look in a certain way, you can realize the blind spot. Similarly, one may realize the essential gaps in experience. Realizing the latter, the delusion of self falls away.

Realizing fully even one gap, fully seeing through constructed self, the very structure and project of experience are undone.

And here you are,

just this.
