Stone Flows

11/06/2015

Life isn’t stone:
it’s movement come and gone,
the hot breath of a deer
for a moment
misting cold morning air
before the animal
lightly leaps away
in your awe.
Yes, and even
mountains of rock flow
and glaciers and selves,
all immobility mere seeming,
stillness and completion
found only as movement
come and gone,
come and gone.
