The Wounded

04/08/2015

Wherever you look, you see the wounded, some posing as if they aren’t, as if their aggression isn’t rooted in hurt, defensiveness, fear.

The wounded are not only strangers on TV or out of sight, but your intimates.

Wherever you look. In the mirror, too.

What redeems this suffering?

What liberates it?

The very seeing,

no one nothing apart.
